Do I see airhorns in there?
Yes, surprisingly not that loud but I'm sure it's louder than stock, I want to go louder. Also has a cb radio with intercom, and some speaker to make animal noises? I'm not sure what the previous owner used it for. Maybe coyote calling?

Today what I did to my Jeep.
I bought it.
Then I struggled with the rear glass closure and finally diagnosed it.
Then I devised a temporary fix that was also how I was able to diagnose it.
Tomorrow I have a game plan for a permanent fix. Without buying parts.
Youtube short video will be available in the correct topic later

The guy also had the chrome 17 inch wheels with decent road tires on them. I think I'll sell those and use the $ towards some 15 inch Duratracks and steel offset wheels if they'll fit. If not I know 16s fit.

I put a CB with PA system in mine...my daughter loved announcing herself rolling into her HS parking lot.

Called my local yard on a whim to check for kjs. They had 4. Pulled the gas tank skid plate as i need it, front skid plate to flip it online, recovery hooks as spares/flip them And found a custom 1989 heavy dirty cherokee bumper to flip and pay for my work. Or use for scrap parts for when I start learning to weld. All for 140. Going back tomorrow to pull the rear disk brake off an 02 for my kj drum swap.

Its not the same as Pick n Pulls, but I've used https://www.car-part.com/ to successfully find all different kinds of parts for my vehicles. It's kinda like the searchtempest.com CL/FB classifed search aggregator, but for used car and truck parts only.

MANY different wreckers across the entire country use it to list parts…some cheap, some expensive, and some ship for additional cost, but

You can search by year/model/part and then filter the results by grade, price or distance from you. Sometimes there are even pictures of the part or of the vehicle that the part is gonna come from.

^^* x2 on car-part.com. I use that all the time to keep my Jeep alive. Most recently I found a drivers side CV axle in Trenton, as the boot on mine finally gave out after 238,000 miles and it ate itself internally. It’s in the garage waiting for me to get the motivation to tear the front suspension apart and replace it.

What would you do?
- replace the CV axle and call it a day
- replace the CV axle but also replace leaking axle seals on both sides
- remove the whole front diff and regear it to 4.56 (never done it before but many on here have regeared their KJ/KK successfully themselves) and replace all the bearings and seals. Might as well replace the motor mounts while the diff is out…

Once I figure out how much mission creep I am in for, I will start the project. Been putting it off while I decide! :p

totally understand the mission creep problem.
axle and the one seal, that's what I'd do.
not unless you're REALLY feeling like doing the front re-gear, *AND* are already prepared to get the rear done before the winter season hits.

I hear what you’re saying. It might be a 2 wheel drive Jeep for a while unless I can summon a lot of motivation…
