I've been trying to diagnose a no crank/ no start on my 2010 Jeep Liberty. Maybe someone can get some useful info out this. It started with some random electrical issues which evolved into a parasitic draw I couldn't find. My Jeep has the dreaded Skyslider, so it leaks and I think maybe something got wet. It got to the point it would drain the battery to the point of no return so I installed a shut off on the battery. That worked for a while but I suspect the constant disconnecting fried something. It threw a check engine code for the BCM. The next day, it wouldn't start and my code reader wouldn't communicate with the system. From what information I could find I suspected the TIPM. I replaced it with a rebuilt unit from GoEcm. Still no crank/ no start, odd dash behavior, and security lock out. Chased it to the PCM. Replaced the PCM with a rebuilt unit from MAKS. Still no start/no crank. Everything seems to work but I can't get past the security lock out. The only other possibility is an issue with the security module. I plan on sending my PCM to have the security system permanently bypassed. I'll update any changes.
