I got some serious FL sun damage on the khaki jeep. I'm thinking a can of that eastwood 2k clear might be on the menu as an experiment.I've got the rattle can of clear coat to fix my hood and I never seem to get around to it

I'm losing clear coat on the roof. Was thinking of painting the entire roof white to cool it off and look like an old Land Rover.I got some serious FL sun damage on the khaki jeep. I'm thinking a can of that eastwood 2k clear might be on the menu as an experiment.
I also have used 505 CRO and 505 CRF twice now on our 2009 KK with 129k miles. It always amazes me how dark the oil becomes after adding the 505 CRO. Using it took care of slight lifter tick upon start up with the first treatment. The tick is gone now. I also used 505 CRF along with 505 CRO during the oil changes. It improved my mileage and impacted my Long term fuel trim on bank 2 and brought it down similar to bank 1. So it’s doing something good. The manufacturer recommends using the 505 CRO on every other oil change. Our KK ran great before but now runs even better! I will continue using these products!Update on this: The ol' 3.7 continues to plug along with a renewed sense of vigor, smoothness, etc.. It seems to have a new lease on life, tbh. It's much peppier, gets more miles out of a tank, still sounds smooth and quiet. I don't even have any rattle at startup anymore and the timing chain noise is gone. The valve train is quieter. So, it seems the fuel system treatment and engine flush did a lot of good for the old KJ.

I was thinking of Raptor on mine... Appliance Enamel.
or tractor paint.
Well of course it did. It’s the Rocky Mountain Edition!Took my jeep to the mountains this past weekend for a camping trip. It handled the trails effortlessly as usual
I think you just solved a mystery I've been confused about for the past 6 years. I always assumed it was a Renegade because that was what showed up when I looked up the vin and it didn't have any badges on it other than the trail rated, the jeep logo, and the 3.7L. I was always confused why someone would order a Renegade and choose to remove all the renegade specific features from factory. After looking up the rocky mountain edition, it was based on the renegade, had color matched bumpers and fenders, and came with the sunroof, all of which are features that mine has. I think you might be correct. All this time I thought I had a really weird custom renegade but now I'm almost certain it is a rocky mountain edition insteadWell of course it did. DA the whole thing, mask and shoot it with your choice of Rustoleum or Durabak (UV stable type, either smooth or crunchy flavors)I'm not sure what my plan of attack is yet at this point. I think to do it right you'd need to sand all the clear on the hood and redo the whole hood. That sounds like a big job. It's "patina." It adds character, right? Or does that only count on squarebodies?
I have the same grill and hood on my Renegade...The grille and hood are the give away.
Looks like you've still got the 20+ year old spare tire. I'd recommend you replace that. Sick kayak mount thoughKayak hauler duty today
Oh yeah it's dry rotted as hell. It holds air but I wouldn't wanna drive on it longLooks like you've still got the 20+ year old spare tire. I'd recommend you replace that. Sick kayak mount though
Gotta take advantage of every redneck carwash available.Haven't done much lately other than drive it, owing to the monsoon season. I splash in every puddle I can, and every muddy ditch I can get away with to enjoy the locked rear end, of course... Because apparently I'm still 5 years old and HAVE to. The jeep just doesn't look right without a coat of splatter on it, does it?
But that's why we all drive Jeeps, amiright?
