Installed a new water pump this morning. Last one started slow drip drip during recent trip down to South Carolina. It lasted just over two years and 60K miles.

Drained coolant, removed serpentine belt and tensioner, swapped in new pump, then reverse for install. Plenty of room even with electric fan shroud in place. Let it idle for 10-15 mins with reservoir cap off and heat on full, then went for test drive. No drips.

Heard some rattling from the brakes. Quickly determined it was the parking brake by pulling the handle and the noise changed but it wouldn't change when I pressed on the brakes. Pulled them off. Left shoe looked brand new except the material was separated. Right side was bare metal. Previous owner had left me with the right side all the way tight and left side all the way loose. Also they installed the top spring upside down and backwards. First side took an hour to figure out spring was wrong. Second side was wrong too but took 10 minutes.

My wifes pads the front of her hyundai separated on the left side at the beginning of summer. I had never seen that before and now it happened again. Must be the heat and humidity down here in georgia.

After three macgyver attempts at fixing the broken tube on my window regulator, using 100mph tape, a pipe fitting, and finally hose clamps and metal strips, each attempt lasting less than two weeks, I broke down, bought, and installed a new regulator from advance auto.

And I performed some long overdo surgery. I did some other stuff I'm not done with yet, it's way too hot. So I can inside to cool off and a pile of fur decided to use me as a cushion.

I guess I made it "mine"

My 02 is new to me 4 weeks ago. It came with stock Aluminum rims, and what appeared to be original equipment tires. I bought some junk yard steel rims, painted them black and had General Grabber A2's mounted at my local garage. Today was installation day, and everyting went well on the first 19 lug nuts. Then came the stripped out nut. I ended up drilling it out and will replace it, along with the brakes in a week or two. Drive belt also replaced to eliminate some tensioner rattle.
