With the battery disconnected, the fuel pump will not run. But it will continue to leak until the line is empty. Once the line is empty it will stop, until you run the vehicle and the line gets filled again.

What else might be why it won't stop leaking ? two fuses pulled, relay and battery disconnected.. stupid question how much is in a line because think its coming from gas tank ... leak is coming from rust spot by door behind the driver, almost have filled a bucket

Usually not that much. Could be causing a siphoning effect and that's why it keeps leaking. Replace the rusted section of line, then won't need to worry about it.

If it's the return then you can go to your local auto parts store and get however much fuel hose you need and a pack of fuel injection hose clamps (not the normal worm gear ones).

Cut the rusted section out and put the hose in place of it with the clamps.

Just make sure the hose is rated for fuel.
