I would have rather installed the PML ****** pan myself. Due to the leaking and servicing by dealer, they promised to install the new PML pan and more ATF+4 for free..so that is what happened today. You could say that in the last 11 month's this is now the 3rd attempt with 17 quarts now of fluid over that period, to stop the pan leak.

With the old stamped steel pan removed, it is obvious what the problem was.

Good news for using the lubelocker Gasket. The ****** mating surface is not scratched.

And this is the part where I wish I did the job myself. They either put the pan down onto something wet or? There was no ATF+4 installed yet, so somehow it got wet WTF?

More good news is that the Aluminum PML pan fits with no spacers on OEM skid plate.
Not the best image but you can almost get two fingers wide under pan to skid plate.

I took the Jeep for a highway boogie, then checked fluid level all is good.
I then went back on highway for half an hour, crawled under to check for leaks, and all looks good except where is was still a bit wet from what ever got on from installl. Hope fully it eventually will dry out. So that is it. PML Pan is in will keep an eye on it and will update in a few months again to make sure this lubelocker gasket is holding tight. The bolts were installed with 242 medium locktite. Done 4 now.

The PML pan looks good TC. By-by leak.

I wonder if the louvers will keep the fluid cooler than the stock pan? Too bad the KJ doesn't have a ****** fluid temp gauge.

Half hour after hwy drive and let KJ cool, crawled under to check for leaks.
While cats were still hot, the aluminum pan was just warm.
What should also make a bit of difference is the larger capacity of fluid this pan holds.
Every bit helps!!
I think I made the right choice this time by Using the Lubelocker Gasket.

Well today is a bit warmer and checked under KJ immediately after highway ride to see how the 42RLE LubeLocker gasket is holding up...excellent - No Leaks, all is Dry! YA!
It was hot the pan and had to slide under no where near the cats, you could still fry eggs and bacon ...there ..hmmm....now I know how to cook breakfast!
Personally I think that the back of the ****** pan is getting the ATF+4 really warmed up because of the exhaust that wraps within an inch of the pan.
Really not the best placement for the stock exhaust. Almost needs some fans around there..no kidding.

PML ****** Pan Drain Plug Weep

Now about 700 miles since the PML was installed.
This week have done some highway drives and crawled under to see how the PML was doing. Was a bit surprised to see the only damp spot is now the drain plug and slight spot under gasket bolt. It is just a weep and it looks like the copper washer is not centred, that may be it. I think on next drain some RTV on both sides of washer and around bolt would be required by the looks if it.
Got an email into PML lets see what they say...
