Spare Tire

What do you guys use to secure your spare tire so it won't be stolen? An externally-mounted spare seems like it would be a prime target for theft.

Should have come with a lock or two on it from the dealer. Atleast mine did. Keep the key in the glove box. If not, invest in some.

All the dealers around here use a keyed lug nut. And put the key with jack or in the glove box. Some people have worried about a thief removing bracket and all though, with that determination, I don't think they can be stopped.

the spare bracket is secured with this....

got it off of ebay from upperbound....cost me about 7 bux


and the spare is locked on to the mount with a mopar lug lock....
came with it....i think after the 02's they stopped giving em as standard or something....
