Bad choice in lifts, will cause you problems, some people over on LOSTKJs have had them and removed them due to blown shocks etc. for 300 more you could have a complete spring lift and new shocks all around instead of depending on worn out shocks and springs

I am looking at adding a 3 inch lift and ran across the Rough Country lift but I don't see anyone on the site with it. Has anyone one heard something bad/good/other about this lift. The lift is only $360 and more information on it can be found at http://www.fatbobsgarage.com/catalog/rough-country-jeep-liberty-kj-3-lift-kit-2003-2007.htm

you will end up paying more for a cheep lift
do it right the first time and spend less
trust me I know first hand
the suspension work on my TJ at this point has cost close to the same as an
Nth* or AEV ,same people now, 4" long arm lift and I am lucky if I have 3"
now the KJ got OME/Rancho all around for about $460 IIRC
and it has twice the milage on it compared to the TJ and the TJ needs suspension work again

yeah they call it a 1.5" lift for warranty reasons
if you read the fine print in the Jeep warranty it states something about
"suspension modifications over 2" and not covering connected components
or any thing they want to not cover

That being said we installed the OME Med springs on my wifes KJ and got
over 2" ,still clears 245/75's on OE wheels after 35K
oh and even at 6 years old and 65K miles on the Jeep we just got a new CV shaft installed under the 7/70 no questions asked

If you go with OME springs and Rancho Struts with OME rear shocks
and not the ones with a part number ending in L then you will not need any thing other than springs and shocks

ANY other route and you may or may not need add ons
for example
doing things like a clevis lift
or adding some kind of spacer ,be it under the coil or on top of the strut
will require front bump stop extensions
longer rear shocks will require rear bump stop extensions
going to high on the front end will require new upper A arms

and remember lets say you gain as much as an extra inch of lift for all of the trouble and you manage to get a 265/75 ,which is a full inch taller than what is most common ,245/75, you will only gain 1/2" under the lowest point ,the rear diff
1/2" on a 4,000#+ rig is minimal at the very best
I only have 32's on my TJ with 3" of lift
and I dont see the need to push for 33's
I run with guys running 33's and 35's all day
I spent my money on things like lockers and high clearance skid plates rather than more lift
