On the passenger side does the exhaust need to be removed or is there a trick to removing the front mounting bolt? The bolt head faces in towards the exhaust and I don’t see how it will come out with the muffler there. It’s all stock. Any ideas?

One of two ways I do it, one is to just pry muffler over
or
loosen bolt, pry part way out, cut off replace with new one ( 3 or 4 bucks at dealership )
Install the other way

Like Tom said or even try using the jack to see if you can push it up as far as it can go. Might get lucky

I was able to pry the exhaust to the side and then flipped the bolt for reinstallation. If your bolts are old/rusty I would just replace them.

I just spent the money and got new bolts. They aren’t cheap. Total at the stealership with nuts and an additional 2 small bolts came to $40 or so. But now I’ll just cut both of them off since they are pretty frozen and all crusty. It’ll make the job easier in the end. I hope.

40 bucks ?? last ones I bought nut and bolt was 4 dollars and a few odd cents each, less than 5 each, and that was at dealership.

Very easy, 10-15 minutes max , only 4 bolts
Unless you are silly enough to still have sway bar on yet:happy175:
