I recently purchased a 2005 Liberty Limited 4X4 with 105,000 miles. Test drove it and loved it. 104 miles later the shifter cable broke took to dealer to replace and $320 later I am wondering if I should purchase a extended warranty for it, is it worth it? Just wanting to know some thoughts from some experienced liberty owners. All responses welcomed and appreciated.

Be wary most extended warranties don't cover much on vehicles with over 100k on them.

The fine print also leaves them so many loopholes to reject may repairs too easily.
If the extended warranty is $1000 for instance, that money is probably better applied to your own mods or repairs.

I had an extended warranty once... nearly useless. Definitely take a day and a half to read all the way through it before you buy.
