So,,,,

Pistons, gasket sets, oil pumps, shells, etc.

Availability and cost of these?

I'm weighing up a rebuild to stock / lightly modified vs a rebuild to 'turbo ready' spec vs a $1000-$1400 low mileage motor from a salvage yard.

Are decent aftermarket pistons available yet for the 3.7?

Parts are avaiable, just how much do you want to spend? If you want to build it to handle a turbo plan on paying way more then $1000-$1400,looking at probally $800 alone on the forged pistons. Not to metion if you have the 42RLE ******(mid-'03+) you'll need to build that up to handle the power.

Google is your friend:D

Im not even sure if the 42rle could be built up enough to handle alot of torque. A shift kit and torque is about all you can get for them I do believe.
