quick trac lock question on oil

about to change the front and rear diff and I have a trac lock, diff I picked up some valvoline regular 85w-140 that says limited slip. Just want to make sure I dont have to add anything with this gear oil. thanks

I will tell you what I know
I busted my diff cover
Trail repaired with JB weld
Filled with gear oil
Wheeled the next day
Drove 100 or so miles home
Had a full locker that a few weeks later
Exploded damaging the internals
Now this was no issue to me as I wanted a Detroit

So I would get the "Mopar" additive and standard oil

If it says "limited slip" then the modifier should already be in it. I have about 10 bottles of Valvoline 85-140 in the garage and it all says "limited slip" on it.

Buy the Mopar additive and put it in the diff before filling it up with the reccomended oil.
I recently did my rear diff using the Mopar addite and 75w90 gear oil as reccomended on most KJ sites.

It says made for limited slip diffs so I used it with out the additive if I start to hear some chatter ill swap it out

Swap it out ,yes you will
By the time you hear noise from the rear diff
It is a done deal
So yeah you will swap it out

you mean the modifier sure it'll be fine
