I loaned my 2002 3.7 Liberty to a friend . His wife while going very slowly turned it upside down . No major damage . one broken window & minor dents & dings . Transmission fluid leaked out . After topping off power steering & engine oil we started the jeep & added transmission fluid until full . Took about 7 quarts . Being low on fluid caused it to throw the 700 code & go into limp mode . Tried clearing the 700 code by disconnecting battery cables but code & limp mode remains . Anyone know what I have to do to clear the code & get it out of limp mode ? TIA We also topped off differentials & transfer case .

Wow.. sorry to hear of the mishap.
Any trans or mechanical shop should have a proper scanner to read & clear codes.
It is also possible more than 1 code may be present.
The 700 is a generic code, so it would be good to know if other codes are present as well.
