Noise question

Quick question; in the last couple of weeks, I get a noise (sounds a bit of a crunching noise) if I do a sharp right turn at lowish speed -like turning into a parking space. No noise if I'm turning sharp left or if I'm doing a normal right turn in driving. It's happened about 3 times - any ideas what it could be? I've had a look underneath, and nothing looks wrong.

The noise comes from the front, but I can't tell if its from the right or left of the vehicle.

Might be CV joint or Intermediate shaft.

That's what I was thinking - thanks guys. How big a deal is it to replace the cv joint or the shaft?

Not a big job, couple of hours if you've never done one before
