Hey HJ, you can use a rad for either a standard or tow package KJ.

I got one that was for a tow package KJ and left the trans cooler inlet and outlet plugs in until I added the HD fans and shroud and then plumbed in the trans cooler lines. Whichever one you get will work fine.

ThunderbirdJunkie needs to clarify something.
Not all the '02-06 radiators are the SAME...

A radiator for a 45RFE KJ will work in any KJ to '06..the 42RLEs do not have the built in trans cooler.

What if you have the tow package?

Get one for the tow package for your model year - are you thinking of an OEM rad?

I'm living dangerously with an aftermarket Spectrum brand that has the trans cooler built in. No leaks or problems after 17,000 miles. Keeping my fingers crossed...
