The radiator drain plug came out of my jeep this morning on the way to work. Does anyone know of a parts store that carries anything that will work to replace it. And I mean anything cause the jeep overheated on the way to work. Luckily I was close enough when it really started to happen to get it to the parking lot. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Pep Boys has the 'HELP' section that will probably have something. Keep a close eye on it now that you've overheated it. Unfortunately this family of engines you heat the heads too much and valve seats have a tendency to fall out and/or the head warps...

Hell, at this rate you could probably caulk the thing shut. You should always drain via the lower hose anyway.

Obviously a bandaid, though. As would any other makeshift plug. I'm not sure it's sold as a part separate from the rad. Might have to grab one from a Junky.

I was going to hit up a salvage yard tomorrow after work since they have already closed by the time I get off today. I never thought of just closing up the hole though. Not a bad idea.

Autozone has them in the help section around here (probably Pepboys too as mentioned above). If you can wait, Rock auto has them.

Although not the way I thought that I was going to go with this but I am just going to go ahead and put a new radiator on. This will also give me a good chance to try and get the tensioner pulley off and put the new one that I have on the vehicle. Thank you for all of the advice and help it was much appreciated.
