Are magnetic oil drain plugs a good or a bad idea. i was thinking about replacing the drain plug with a new one the next time i change the oil. the oem drain plug isn't bad or anything, just thought they aren't to expensive might as well put a fresh one in sometime. i searched but didn't find much on the forums, and have only read a few things online about them. was hoping someone here had an experience with them.

Better just doing the every 3k or so oil change interval if you ask me, JMO. I don't have any personal experience with them.
