Hey after 93k my muffler is getting kinda blown out. It's not near as quiet as it used to be. I really like the sound of the Magnaflow setup but I just wanna buy the muffler. Does anybody know what series or model or anything of that muffler in that setup the offer?

Judging by the kit that MagnaFlow sells it can be either of 2 mufflers. It's a 5" X 8" muffler and the kit says it is 24" long and it appears to be a center inlet and offset outlet. Depending if they mean the length of just the oval muffler or the overall length. If it is 24" overall then it could be part #12256 for stainless or #14256 for polished. If it is 30" overall (the 24"muffler plus the inlet and outlet) then it could be #12286 for stainless or #14250 for the polished. Hope it helped.

Our KJ has over 100K on the clock and it's still as quite as the day it left the factory!!!

Man... I need to buy you a plane ticket up to BC so you can fry my KJ's factory exhaust system!

Then I can persuade Jen to let me install a noisier system under ours!:D

negative i will have no annoying flowmaster under my kj, nor will I spend more than around $100 on one. If I can't get that magnaflow alone I'll probably just replace with a stock muffler.

I bought an Aero Turbine for my KJ...not a whole lot of drone when driving at higher RPMs, and it wasn't too expensive either. If you youtube "Aero Turbine Jeep" you can find the videos I have of the sound.

You'll be sorry you ever put one on, blue kjR417. The drown
you'll hear in the cab will drive you nuts. It will sound OK
but NOT like a V8 on the outside. The 3.7L V6 does NOT
make a powerfull sound in the first place like a V8.

Just a friendly warning...

Yeah its not a nice sound as a V8 does but i picked this magnaflow as an offroad muffler in 1st place, sound was of no concern to me. I can tell you, itll take a heck of a hit before it dents. I had 3 collars holding it and had it welded also. I am usually rough on things, and since im going to get a skid plate i needed to replace that before i do. I dont hate the sound but it is too loud. Still, i enjoy it because i know itll take a good amount of hit before i break it. But if you dont go offroad, you dont need it.
