Hello all - mine is a CRD Sport with I think a Merc Diesel, anyway I’m assuming the heating systems are all the same no matter the engine.

Mine only works on setting 4 doesn’t matter where the directional dial is (window, feet or blowers) they all only work on level 4....

Any ideas???? I’m trying to avoid an expensive trip to the dealer...

You sure it is a KJ?
I think the CRD KJ...Liberty in USA or known as Cherokee in Export countries came out beginning 2002 and has the 2.5 VM Motori engine.

Anyhow is your problem that the internal fan only blows on setting 4?

If so then definitely your Blower Resistor Pack has blown....a common problem.

This is located behind the glove box...remove the glove box and you will see the resistor assembly with wires going to the fan speed panel.

You can get an OEM resistor pack but a lot of people in the States get non OEM packs for cheaper.

Do a search for Blower Resistor here and you can try searching at jeepforum.com or lostjeeps.com for where to get the part.

Or you can just go to the KJ How to Section here on this forum and search for blower resistor.
