First off I just pressed in new lower ball joints. Noticed That the upper is starting to crack in the boot. So I'm gonna have to replaced them soon. Are the JBA arms going to prevent the ball joints from going as quick? Because it's 70 apiece for stock arms or 407 shipped from JBA. are they worth it? Saw Someone say the only difference is that they're red. I just wanna know if it's worth an extra 270?

The balljoints in the JBA's are replaceable,do not need to replace the whole arm,and they are greaseable also.Just shoot a couple of pumps of grease every oil chnage or after each wheeling trip and they should last longer then your KJ will.

No you don't have to. Not sure of the part number but they are the same ones used by Chevys and the like. I'm sure a search will yield a part number for a moog which can be cross referenced for other brands

Just judging from all the stockers I've got here vs. the lifted KJ with JBA's on it.

the stock UCA bushings rot out, I haven't seen a good set yet.

the stock ball joints operate at extreme angle even stock. I've had one KJ with new UCA's on it come in, looking at the past history, they were replaced twice in 125k miles.

the JBA UCA's use what looks to be a better quality bushing on the body side, and because they don't operate at such extreme angles, they are less likely to deteriorate anyways. the greasable upper ball joint is a must, IMHO. Lowers would be great, too.

JBA's UCA's use OEM bushings, but like you stated at a different angle so they last longer.

well, to a point.

It's the nature of IFS that bushings fail like that. 4 link don't have that kind of problem, but they also don't ride as nice.

Lol. I'm comparing stock jeep 4 link to stock jeep IFS>

My y-link and 4 links have always ridden better than anything, even on 39" tires...but not practical for the application we're talkin about.
