Sounds like yall need to mow more often, before it gets knee-high!

Bob

My Uncle's baby is his lawn believe me, the amount of money and time he spends on it, it isn't a matter of mow before knee high. Trust me, both my Uncles, and my Grandparents yards are BIG, even with a riding mower its day long job.

Why do they leave so many exposed wires under the hood?
I think my next project is to loom as many of the unprotected wires as possible.

They'll chew right through it anyway. I've seen mice and rats chew through Romex wires in infested attics. I'm sure they are responsible for many house fires every year. Don't think plastic wire loom will do it unless you use metal sheathing like BX cable.

And here I was hoping it would be inexpensive & easy.
I figured some protection was better than none at all !

Inspected wiring today to make sure the rat had not snacked away.
Talk about a perch and a ton of exposed wires coming out of the firewall...

Luckily everything under hood looks untouched...whew!
I'm not taking any chances, I just smeared Vick's Vapo Rub on steel, around this bundle.

...I found it it was the cat had, I suppose gotten in the space between fan and radiator for the heat. When we started it decided to bail out through the fan...

Nothing but trouble when the kitty hits the fan. :hidesbehindsofa:

Black snake is a good critter getter
Adopt a snake and no more issues

Unless you have yard birds. (chickens) Last blacksnake I encountered was in the laying boxes. 6ft long and looked like he'd swallowed a whole croquet set! when I laid into him with a hoe he (it) went to puking egg all over everywhere. I try to leave em alone on most of the place but the egg house ain't one of em!

No never allowed them to be in the hen house, but the barn and grainery they had full access. Was always told to leave them alone

I think I'd rather have the mice than a snake. Especially if the snake is like the one in that video... :blah:
