What are the differences between having ram air vents that force air into the hood while driving, or louvers that vent hot air, what is more functional to reduce engine temperatures?

Just a note: My cowl to hood seal was removed in 2005, no issues to date
sits in the rain, gets washed at least once a week etc
The rubber seal behind the engine is heavy? Maybe im not getting what part you guys are talking aboutWas only about 5-6 months old when I removed it,
I weighed it and after factoring in the weight, I decided I could add a full set of factory skids and they would weigh the same amount :happy175:
i just bought a pair of louvers on ebay out of 1998 jeep grand cherokee.
any ideas on how to install them will be helpful.
Lay them out where you want them
apply several layers of tape to the area
cut a hole in the hood
( use jigsaw/ grinder whatever you fancy to cut holes in metal)
Easy enough to do, or at least thats how I've installed a few sets of GTP hood lovers in KJs/ XJs etc
Heres installing them on Larrys 02 KJ
