I'm going to purchase a set of cooper discoverer at3 tires but undecided on size. Thought maybe since I'm not doing a mud terrain tire I might go up to 265/70/16 or should I go with a 245/75/16? Also my original plan was cragar soft 8's but am now looking to purchase d windows instead. What do you all think on tire size and which wheel, soft 8 or d window in a 16x7 of course.

Basically the same height, 70 series just a bit wider is all
either would work well
Check ply rating on both first

Do all the d window wheels have blue and red stripe? That might be a deal breaker for me as I want an all black wheel.

Black Rock, maybe? Only thing is it looks like their D windows only come in a 4" backspacing. Wonder if that would cause issues. Likely would stick the tires out too far.

Black Rock Series 942 Type D Matte Black Wheels 942671240 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

These are exactly what i'm looking for. Love the matte black finish with matching center caps and what do you know, no stripes.
Thanks man!!

Just noticed summit racing includes center caps as well as free shipping and no oversized fees making it the best price I've found around.

What size tire you running? Should post some pics. Not sure if your stock, measure from center of hub to bottom of flare and tell us what ya got. 19 inches is stock height .

When lifted ......7 inch wide and 4 inches of backspacing works great
sits the tire right out to the edge of the flares
that size wheel, 245-75-16s and good to go on a lifted KJ
later on regear
that size wheel would look like this on the outside ( flare) , these are 8 inch wide 5 inches of back spacing but come out the same amount
