Headlight bulb is dead, need suggestions.

First night driving after the replacement, these are tad bit whiter, however I did not see dramatic improvement over lightly lit side roads or highway. On pitch black there might be a slight increase as these seem to get reflected more easily by the road signs far up ahead compared to stockers (philips claim of add'l 50m), otherwise, I wouldn't pay more for them if they were not on sale ($20).
