OK maybe a stupid question but I don't have to empty the oil before I do this, do I?

Nope - the oil will be down in the pan so just some residual oil on the rockers and such :waytogo:

Started to do the drivers side(which everyone says is easier) and couldn't get all the harness out of the way. I actually had a middle injector harness that was already broken. The tab that you press to release it was cracked. No wonder it didnt wanna budge.
The harness bundles that were held in place at the front outer bolt on the valve cover wouldnt come off either. By the looks of it, seems someone has already been there once in its life. Random tabs seemed stressed already and two of the three injector connector harness locks(red plastic ones) were broken too.
Im scratching my head still, I breezed through the passenger side.......

DO you need to use a gasket sealer at all or is a new gasket all I need?
