Under the jeep today putting in a new cv and thought i would take a look at the rear and see if I could find the cause of a knocking sound when going over bumps. Discovered that the rear bumpstops are totally disintegrated i took a look on the murchison website and the only ones i could see were crown seem to recall seeing somewhere that the brand is kinda crap. Also looking to upgrade suspension and do a 2" lift springs are sagged at least 1.5" my question is do you neef longer bumpstops with a lift or will standard be ok which ones are good

Not sure about the top one
But once you lift it- bottom is two hockey pucks for each side bolted down to the spring perch

The one from crown should be a factory like replacement
as far as bumpstops depends on the amount of lift you are going to have
2 per side is about average but not always the best

He stated 2" lift
That's why I said two pucks per side

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Fully understand that
BUT since there really isn't a two inch lift ,

oh never mind,........... lots more comes into play
tire size, wheel width, backspacing etc

Very true...................

I have 9.5" of lift and added 8" of bumpstops, use the same length(compressed/extended) shocks for a 2.5-4" lifted KJ and still have 12" of travel in the rear.I have more in the front but different setup and I do require limit straps to keep it from going past 14" of travel.

I would go OME (haven't seen negative reviews on them)
Never heard of King
Also, OME kits say 1.5" but they really give 2.5" lift

Crown makes the OE stuff.

And with OME shocks they have built in bumpstops. I run Daystar rear bumpstops, a bit shorter than 2 hockey pucks. I got them because in Florida they were actually less expensive than hockey pucks.
