22.25-22.50 ( depending ) is the magical number
right in there they will all have some contact
Also depends on the JBA arms, some have a bit more girth through the area that hits.
I'd almost bet that one is over 23

Sorry for being late, I'm back with the measurements.

From the middle of the wheel to the bottom of the fender is 23''.
The tire size is 31x10.50R15

Take couple conduit nuts off each side, get the right bjs and go from there.

I will order new pair of Moog K6292 ball joints from JBA in few days.

It looks like i will need new tires because if i lower the lift the current ones will rub.

It shouldnt rub. I run bigger tires than yours at 22.5" fender to hub. Taking clevis space out should sit you at a little above 22". Pound pinch weld, a bit of trimming and you're good.

The 31's should fit with a little bit of molding of the plastic. My tires are 30.6x10.4R16 (265/70/16) and they only rub a little bit. I sit at about 22.5 in the front and 23 in the back.

Lose about .5" and you should have a lot less coil contact. I get ZERO contact. That being said...23" is about the upper limit of lifting a KJ without major mods. If the contact is occasional you might be OK. CVs and tie rods still won't be too happy though.

Wow 23"?! Yeah everybody else nailed the obvious. Your jeep will be much happier at 22.5" mark.

Even better 22-22.25
We all get caught up in the numbers game
when in reality 1/2 inch isn't going to make a big difference
One of the reasons I went with the latest build at only 2.5 inches
After having one of the larger KJs with over 4.5 inches of lift
the effort and cost associated with going that route isn't really worth it in a way

Wow... i too noticed all sorts of fail in those three pictures.

I'm guessing that the PO probably lifted to fit the 31's plus some wiggle room... one of those "Hold my beer and watch this." moments.

Those CV joints have got to be dying in there.. Good Lord. And that ball joint arrangement is just downright scary. I wouldn't be driving this until you get it sorted out.

Good luck.
