I managed to salvage a limited slip differential from a 2003 Renegade v6 manual trans.
I intend to put this carrier in our 2003 Limited Libby... 3.6 auto

I got the entire carrier and bearings + caps/adjusters.

My plan is to remove the ring gear and speedo ring currently in the jeep and transplant those from the open carrier once removed and thus keep the pinion and ring gears matched.
I believe the pinion depth should not need adjusting this way and only the lateral carrier adjustment should be required to attain proper pattern.

I plan to remove/inspect the clutch packs on the bench before I go for the install... Bearings appear great so I will just leave the ones on the carrier from the Renegade...

anyone see issues or have something to add I should pay attention to?

how much fluid to use + additive... I think 2 liters + 1 bottle of additive is going to fill it up...

Thanx

I would not bother taking it further apart, and leave the additive out.

After test driving it to get the oil circulated and warm, THEN decide if it needs additive. I haven't put additive in a used posi diff for over 25 years - as it tends to defeat the grip on a used unit.
