2003 Liberty 3.7L 4WD with P01434 code

Greetings! I am new to the forum and trying to figure out an issue on a 2003 Liberty equipped with the 3.7L V6, auto trans & 4WD. The check engine light comes on intermittently and sets the P1494 Manufacturer Control Auxiliary Emission Control code. This appears to be a malfunction with the leak detection pump. I do not have a service manual and am looking for any information on how to repair this. Thanks in advance!

The leak detection pump is above the gas tank,easily changed out.
