Lukewarm heat- Blend door actuator or heater control problem?

I've had my 08 jeep liberty for about 21 months and put about 20,000 miles on it. I have noticed the heat blows just lukewarm air. Coolant levels are fine. Both inlet and outlet hoses to the heater core are warm when run up to temperature. Temperature guage acts normal. I looked at the...

    Automatic hvac controls

I acquired a 2008 jeep liberty sport about 6 months ago. It has manual hvac controls. Is it possible to install automatic hvac controls that you find in the limited models? Does the system have the temperature sensor built into the automatic controls, or is it located somewhere else in the car?

    Couple Camp Jeep Pics...

The only issue had is the radiator fan died on me, so we had to drive home with the heater on full blast for 300 some odd miles. (not a radiator fan motor within a 100 mile radius for the liberty). I took it straight to the carwash after playing in that junk. What made me mad is that they had...

    Couple Camp Jeep Pics...

I had so much fun at Camp Jeep.....can't wait to go next year.... As you can see at the owner's playground, I'm not afraid to get down and dirty ;)

So...how many of you offroad your kj

I use mine as a daily driver, and will go offroading once in a while. My father in law has a cabin in Central Pa near Lockhaven, and only an old logging road gets there (nice scenic offroad drive for me there). I put my skid plates and tow hooks on, and am going to camp jeep next week to get a...

New all terrain tires for Liberty Sport: which ones?

Yeah, if the bfg's aren't an option, I would definately recommend general grabber at2....I put them on in November and absolutely love them. They have a nice agressive tread pattern, and my liberty handled like a champ in the ICE storms we had in the lehigh valley (both storms produced a...

towing a liberty on the ground

I am looking to rent a penske truck in July to move from Pennsylvania to Illinois. I would be interested in towing the Liberty behind the truck on the ground (I have read other posts how it can be done by putting everything in neutral), but wondered what type of equipment would be needed in...

It's here. 2008 Jeep Liberty "KK" - Pics and Specs

Well, from looking from the picture and reading the description, am I to believe the command trac is just an electronic knob now instead of the good ol' shifter in the current liberties? If so, I am most definately keeping mine, as a thought was to trade in possibly. My wife has a nitro, and...

    camp jeep

I just signed up for camp jeep. I hopefully have a couple friends in wranglers coming with me. Just bought tow hooks and the skid plates so I'll be set for some trails, as I've never really done trails in my libby before (but am looking forward to it).

    08 Liberty/N Y Auto Show

Well, now that I see the 08 Libby is going to be there, I would honestly consider it, since I'm only about 75 miles from New York City. I myself am more interested in the interior; specifically if they are going to have that full time 4 wheel drive crap like in the new grand cherokees and...

    rb1 and 2002 liberty

yeah, pretty much plug and play....you just need to mount the gps antenna, though, and you have to take off the driver's side a pillar and dashboard piece that goes over the speedometer, as the antenna is mounted between the dashboard piece and the speedometer cluster

    Locking lugs, only on spare?

I have wheel locks on all 5 of my tires....yeah, It can be a pain if you forget to tell them you have wheel locks when they rotate your tires....I also have the "tamper proof" bolts so they don't just take off with the whole unit itself, especially since in the summer months I have my mopar bike...

    Is the liberty really rugged?

I really had no clue of the offroad capability of this vehicle until I purchased it in June of 04. I was just looking for something with 4 wheel drive because I got sick of getting stuck on the hilly streets of Bethlehem in the snow. Now I pray for 12 inches of snow every time they forcast...

    The snow is coming

We got 6 to 8 inches of snow here, although most of it was that sleet crap....we would have had more than a foot if it was all snow....But anyways, my wife couldn't understand me going out in the weather.....I purposely had to get gas and pick up her prescription at the drug store, so those were...

    Found an EVIC

Yeah, most any of the pigtails that chrysler used for the evic/otis usually have similar colors as notated above. The pigtail I used for mine came from an intrepid es (as far as I could tell because it was that smashed up), and my extra one I have came from a 300m.

    installed an EVIC

get an evic from an 04 liberty or newer, or an 04 otis from a ram or durango to get the temp to work

    05-07 EVIC Specs

My Rocky Mtn did not have any dash pressure lights, as my tires didn't have the tire pressure sensor. I bought the evic first, then had the tire sensors installed later, and the evic read them just fine. If you have an evic with tpms, all you should have to do is to have the tire pressure...

    05-07 EVIC Specs

If you got an evic from an 05 to 07, the part number for the sensors are different from the 04. with the 04, a magnet was required to train the sensors, where 05 to 07 models did not requre the magnet. If you have the steel wheels on your sport, the tire pressure sensors will not work with...
