There are several sites where you can input
the V.I.N. and search for specific parts.
This should nail down the filter for you.
Not a recommendation, but here's one:

The bolts that hold the cover on
often get corroded and are hard
to get out, or worse, snap off.
I just bought new ones to be safe.
They are expensive for what they
are, but I was lucky to get the
original ones off the first time and
I don't like to take chances. Also a
dab of anti-seize...
Firestone has a lifetime alignment plan. I paid $120 in 2007 and that's it. Alignment can be checked every 6 months or 6000 miles for life. I think I've had it done about 16 times (works out to $7.50 a time so far, less as time goes by). The 2022 cost is $200 but they often have coupons that can...
I have an after-market transmission pan with a drain plug and I change the transmission fluid at every oil change, which is every six months. Every six changes I drop the pan and put a new filter on.
Hi - My simple answer is "I don't know",
but seems like a better problem to have
than "put it in drive but won't move".
Better meaning it might be fixable without
a transmission rebuild.
My thought . . . . not sure about the 42RLE
(which I have) but most traditional
transmissions have a...
I've used Dueler A/T Revo's since 2007. The original Revo's developed road noise after some time, but the latest tire, the Revo 3 seems to have that fixed. For me, they are terrific tire, just not cheap.

I did my passenger rear O2 sensor
over the summer. I have about 6
O2 sockets and specialty wrenches.
Nothing worked. If I could get some-
thing on it, not enough room to swing.
So I came at it from the rear and used
a recipricating saw to cut the head off.
Then I used a long...
Hi Guys
If this has been mentioned before,
I missed it.
Dorman has a Split-style backing plate,
or as they call it, dust shield.
The price for a pair is less than one side
of the original style, with shoes etc. from
Mopar.
There are pros and cons to this style and
I really don't...
Thanks
Thanks everyone for your input.
Early next summer I plan to replace
the cats/pipes etc.
I just hope it lasts until then and
I'll do nothing right now.

Just did mine . . . .
I just did both front drive shafts.
I know there's a lot of opinions
about drive shafts, but I choose
new ones from Autozone. With
a discount they had, I got them
for $60 each and no core charge.
They match exactly and time will
tell if I made the right...
Hi Guys
On the passenger side, near the
transmission, the exhaust pipe has a
welded hanger attached (see attached pic).
This hanger looks very corroded and
I'm wondering if there is an aftermarket
bolt-on hanger replacement.
At some point I'll need to replace the
cats and...
Hi Guys
I've read many times that our KJ
can be driven with the front driveshaft
removed.
By front driveshaft I mean the shaft
from the transfer case to front differential.
I just want to verify this is correct
and there's no ill effects of driving
with it removed.
Thanks . ...
Hi Guys
I have a KJ 4x4 and I'm wondering
where the ABS tone ring is for the front
axles?
Is it part of the bearing assembly, or
is it attached on the end of the axle
shaft?
I'm looking to buy replacement axle
shafts and "tone ring not included".
But if it's part of the bearing...
Hello Everyone
For those of you who don't want
to replace the rear prop shaft
U-joints yourself, I took the shaft
off last week and took it to Fleet
Pride locally.
Two greasable U-Joints installed $101.
Symptoms were vibration at
certain speeds that got rapidly
worse. Rear U-Joint...
Hello All
I have the OEM Ipod FM Adapter (modulator)
installed and it works pretty good.
But . . . . I'd like it to work with an Android
device too.
I know I can make a cable up, but I was
wondering if anyone knew of a stock cable
that would work? Or a converter from
Apple 30 pin...
