I'm about to replace my the rear pinion seal on my 2012 Jeep Liberty jet. Some people are telling me that I have to replace the crush sleeves to. Some people and the Internet are saying that this model doesn't have crush sleeves. Is this true? I even looked on YouTube and haven't seen anyone change anything but the seal. Can anyone help me with information on this please?

Yes the Chrysler 8.25" does have a crush sleeve. best practice is to replace the crush sleeve. It acts almost like a lock ring by keeping tension on the set up to prevent the nut from backing off. If you decide to re-use it, you will need to increase the pinion nut torque by about 10 ft lbs ish to maintain that tension on the nut. I've re-used them in the past on different vehicles , but really comes down to how I feel about the vehicle at the time
