Does anyone have any success at removing the pinstripes on their KJ? My Altantic Blue has a thin white and red pinstripe that I'd like to remove with out damaging the paint. Any suggestions?

from the picture, it looks like the smaller crossbars detach just like mine. Using an alen wrench you can remove then (not the larger out side piece). Although I don't know why any one would want to remove them? Normally the big side pieces are welded for strength.

Sorry can't help you there. I go by the theory of "if the plug fits, use it". Seriously, it shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes to pull it out and plug it it in to see if it works before you seal eveything back up.
