That’s a very good question! I have no idea because I just moved across the country a couple months ago. Near Pittsburgh now. So I have no idea where to look for a good mechanic who can really pin this out. My father is an electrician and naturally is great with vehicle electrical as well. But he’s 2,200 miles away. Grr. I need this fixed. I want my little baby fixed. I’m sure you have been in my shoes too.
depending how far from PGH you are, there is a guy on youtube located in State College Pa.

I am in Maryland, TommMudd is in Ohio, several of us are probably within 100 miles or so.

I finally got the video to work where I could hear it. What a funky goose honk.


Look at your rotors for rust in the mornings. It could be that, or it could be something poor fitting or not greased on the brakes. Brake pad honking against the bracket because it fits poorly. Honking on the caliper piston because it can move slightly when all is cold. No lube on the caliper slides or nothing on the back of the pads. Etc.

My daughters car makes an awful scrubby noise when backing out in the mornings and getting on the brakes. Her rotors rust easy and her pads are getting into the rust band on the far edges now too. It's bad enough it will squeal some if she parks in the bottom of a parking garage or something where moisture is high. I'm going to replace it all because it's annoying.

Mine never has made any sound like that. Not even when the front bearings were going. It was tight even when I jacked it up and wiggled. It just sounded like I had mud tires on the front, and the pitch would change just like when going around curves. Especially long ones like a clover off ramp long curve in one direction. Luckily at the time I didn't have mud tires so I knew something was up. I took it in and the mechanic drove it, came back, jacked it up, checked for play, found none, then listened with a stethoscope thing while he spun the wheels. Sad yep wheel bearings. I changed the right side first and 90% or more of the noise was gone. All of it when I changed the left.

Now I have Kelly Safari TSR's and they have some growl to them because I missed the mark on a rotation. My bearings could be bad now and I wouldn't have a clue. Can't hear. Need another set of wheels with street tires lol.

Suspect that’s a canbus error. Check all the connections. Did you have the puter flashes after replacing it? Running LEDs anywhere? Most likely a loose connection. Did you use dielectric grease on your connectors?
Oh yay something new to learn about ugg.

So it happened before with the old computer. Once I think. I replaced with a new computer with SKREEM security delete because something happened to the security and there was either this option, or replace the computer, wireless control module and key and have it all reprogrammed (basically totalling it out). So I took this option and left the security unplugged. Works great. Only thing that ***** is I lost my keyless entry. I was too chicken it was the security module to plug it up and let it learn it. Could have konked my new computer.

I remember in all of that seeing something in the wiring about the bus because I think I was trying to figure out if there was a way to hook up the keyless antenna wires without hooking up the key security part of the wiring.

No leds anywhere. All connections I could find seemed fine when I was checking before. IDK.

I had serious issues with ABS sensors over the last six months. Not to be the harbinger of doom, but I went through 7 different sensors across 5 brands before I got one that worked properly. About half of them, the connector did not engage properly and had to be zip tied to maintain a connection. (Yeah, those were the disgustingly expensive "mopar" branded ones). Lots of garbage being sold these days it seems.

Take it to Autozone (if you have one) and have them check the battery and charging system. I just had the same lights pop up on the dash and it turned out to be a failing alternator. It was still putting out juice, just not enough under the right circumstances.

Yeah these are kinda sensitive to a bad battery or alternator about to go. An 07 will actually store a code for low voltage for a while that autozone scanners can read.

I had replaced my battery not long before my last scan. Kinda thinking about rescanning now. I think the time lapse is too much for my alternator or new battery. But might be wrong. It may be the cause of my dash light issue.

Could very well be the original poster's issue too.

I went through similar with Mopar. I went by Autozone and looked at what they had. It was exactly like what came off mine original. So I bought from them. No problems so far.
