I have given you the information at least 3-4 times
THE DIFF SITS OVER TO THE LEFT SIDE MORE THAN IT DOES ON A GASSER, THUS THE LEFT SIDE CV IS SHORTER
so that CV will be at a steeper angle than what it would be on a gasser with same lift
but do what you want
plus I removed a cuss word from your post, this is a family rated site please keep it that way
Appreciate the removal of the cuss word that’s my b. I understand why you can’t lift to the same level, but is 3.5 catastrophic is why I’m asking.

1/2 inch makes a difference ( know from experience , not just heard, read somewhere, talking to a guys cousin brothers uncles father in law )
but do what you want and find out
at this point that is the best advice I can give you.
You do not believe what I type out so ( keep questioning it ) so have fun

LOL, oh here we go again
Sure they are doable, or used to be,
A lift to accommodate 33s is no longer available, since you need 4 inch plus
Nor are the steel front diffs that JBA built to accommodate proper gearing for 33s, since you need at the very least 4.56s and 4.10s are it in the D30a .
any other way is pure B * and not really having a good all around driver
no matter how many pictures you want to throw up of gassers in backyards, NOT, CRDs which are a little different since you can not lift them as much

First off, Tom, I agree with you regarding building up a KJ CRD and maintaining decent performance without taking too big of hit in fuel mileage. It's not cheap to do because interest in aftermarket parts KJs has faded. Every new KJ owner has to figure that out. Not everybody has deep pockets. How much would it cost to put 33" tires on a KJ?

When proper lift and steel front diff was available, 8-10,000 , without labor if you can not do it
but since they are not anymore, pipe dream

This is what I came up with.

OME CRD kit $1100 that will give you about 2" of lift.

Regearing. I don't know how much it costs these days. If you can do it yourself you can save a lot of money. The last re-gear I did was in 2007, 94 Dodge 2500 diesel, about $5k. That included 4.56 r&ps, Powerlocs, front and rear.

33" Tires just for grins, $500 (cheap MTs) including spare. I would go with the narrowest you can find that will fit on the factory wheels that are not E rated.

Sawzall and blades, $150 to cut out the wheel wells so the tires will fit. Extra $$ if you want it to look good.

So $6750?

BUT , LOL you can not install and actually run 33s on 2.5 inches of lift
plus as low as you can go is 4.10s in the D30a which I have posted above
so what are you going to sawzall? Nothing unless you want a junk roller for your back yard. Heck you have to POUND OVER the pinch welds for 31s and 2.5 inches of lift
How many lifts have you installed on KJs ? Just curious
You start hacking away you lost strength, plus the fact if you ever get in a wreck and insurance looks over your rig, gonzo

Really ? Have you looked at it close ?
All custom, complete roll cage/frame/ JK front and rear diffs , etc etc etc etc
Not even close to a stock KJ

The KJ truck and the UA KJ CRD builds offer different points of view of design. One was built on the cheap and focused on the specific needs of the owner. The other is to show off the fabrication and marketing skills at BDS, an aftermarket suspension company.

Anyway, it's ID4. Time to celebrate.
