The lights were still on so I let myself in.

Hello! Kind of a reintroduction.

Long story short, I bought a KL (Cherokee) in 01/19. Circumstances changed and I didn't drive the KL enough to warrant the payment and insurance; so it is gone. My KJ sat idle for the better part of 18 months and is at the shop now getting some TLC. Mainly ball joints and that nasty oil pressure switch. I am looking forward to getting her back in shape and on the road.

Glad to be back.

Thanks TC. Good to see you are still active. 150K on the KJ. Not too bad. Other items were trans fluid/filter, front/rear difs, spark plugs, and front brakes. I moved up north (still in the states) and have a small garage, but it is far from optimum, so I just had a shop do the work. Kind of scary as I can't think of when it was in a shop, with the exception of an ignition switch that stranded me once. With the few miles I will be putting on it, she should be good for at at least a couple years. Glad I made a last minute audible and decided not to trade it in on the KL. With the exception of the radio head unit containing a bunch of other controls, I really liked the KL. Especially the butt warmer! Oh, well. Think there are bigger problems in the world right now. My lack of warm "cheeks" seems pretty minuscule.

Can you explain the oil pressure switch issue to me?

My light started to intermittently come on at start up and finally stayed on all the time. The first time I saw it come on of course I freaked out a bit as that is a big one. Checked the oil and made sure it wasn't low, leaking, or burning anywhere. I was pretty confident it was the switch; but had them change that first before moving on to other things. It was.

It is right by the oil filter and it is pretty messy there, so I am pretty sure that contributed to it.
