Budget Shocks and Struts 500$

Hello all, I haven't been on here much, was busy with work.

My 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport 2WD has 154k miles and to my knowledge the shocks and struts are still original. The ride is really rough, I feel all the potholes and bumps like I am going through a jungle.

Anyway, I know the consensus is that Blisteins with OME is the way to go but I am in a budget of $500~ and I don't know how long this Libby will last so I don't intend to put too much into it. I found a full set of Blisteins front and back for 400$ but I don't know if I should go for a budget coils like MOOG or ACDelco. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I am not worried about the labor as I intend to do it myself and know someone that has a spring compressor to assemble the front struts.

Front shocks, not struts, struts are only on cars with no upper control arms, sorry , had to.....
Now onto the question, Moog or ACDelco are about the same if not the same , spring rate would be the same and that part ***** pretty bad.
Stock spring rate should of been 340-350 front the factory instead of 310
So either one will work, but with weak springs you'll still feel the potholes even with good shocks
Did you check shockwarehouse for al 4 shocks, they have deals with free shipping etc

Yeah I found a deal on ebay for 337$ for all four shocks. Now just looking for a deal for the springs. So far only rockauto seems to be cheapest. Should I go for it?

As a student this is a big decision for me since common sense is telling me to get the full shocks and front strut assembly from monroe or detroit axle for 150$-200$ but I know those don't hold up all that well.

Also should I change any other parts to get better ride?

Edit: After doing some research I decided to go with AcDelco Pro Springs for front and back for 140$~ and bilsteins shocks for 340$~. Which is right in my budget. If there is some other brand I should look into in terms of springs for the same price range please let me know in advance. Thanks

I would venture a guess that all spring designed to meet OEM specs, such as pretty much everything except ome and iron Man are gonna be no better than stock spring rate. So while you got good shocks, you're getting junk springs meaning you may be redoing things again in short order. If you're patient and save up for OME springs to go with your Bilstein shocks you'll be much happier with the end result. I drove my Jeep for the first time in about 2 weeks tonight and was amazed at how much nicer it rides than so meant other vehicles I have ridden in lately, and that includes cars and trucks much newer than mine.
