I picked up a kayak for my girlfriend. I'll be building a twin kayak carrier tomorrow so we can take both hers and mine out for a day.

The bushes started moving ahead of me, while I was hiking 2 days ago.

Not done today, but during the last months:

Step 1: install new springs, shocks and JBA UCAs
Step 2: remove the rusted-up slider
Step 3: ran into another black '04 CRD with the exact same lift and JBA UCAs (as far as I know these are the only 2 in Hungary!) - The other KJ is a tiny bit taller, as he's sitting on 255/70/16

Put my Australian Spec Brake Lights in, only difference was the turn signal socket, I had to modify the Australian socket to fit into the wiring harness. Now both inner and outer lights are matching E spec.

Ordered a new Mopar coolant tank off eBay to solve my coolant leak. As an eBay seller, I hate their return policies, but after dealing with Parts Geek, as a buyer I have no reason to not use them. Only bad part it will come in Monday at work, so it'll be a week till I can install it, which should make it easier to install.

not the jeep...
finally got around to applying the K-SEAL stuff to the coolant in the Stratus correctly today, for a "blown" head gasket on the #2 cylinder.
did a pair of 30 minute warm up and cool down cycles. coolant is now no longer being pushed out of the overflow tank, and in fact is rising and falling at expected rates as the system heats up and cools down when the fans kick on. also the temp gauge is sitting rock solid at 1.5 ticks below half (which is the normal spot for this car and particular temp sensor.)
going to take it for a short drive loop tonight and see what happens. hoping to do a drive every day for the next week, getting to longer ones each time to verify the fix is in and holding.

car has 172k miles on it, and wife is already driving the "replacement", but i'd like to get her back in this thing so as to keep packing commuting miles on it.

Sprayed down with Deep Creep the U-Joints for a better inspection. Looking good, driveshaft tight.

Even rubber boot still looks good. Took it over some speed bumps, no clunks or surprises.
Hwy test at 75mph no vibes, it is a good day.:)

Started off at the dealer for alignment. They couldn't do it, too much play in the UBJ, LBJ (had 160k on it! got it in the 08 recall) and outer tie rod end on the passenger side. Rounded up the parts, a Goodyear shop pressed the old LBJ out of the knuckle and pressed the new one in, got it home and assembled everything. Drives much better, going in Monday for an alignment. The KL is going in Wednesday for a lower ball joint...45k on it.

Went to use my portable 12V tire inflator and discovered that my front ciggie socket is not working. I had to move it from the old bezel to the new one when I went to a double-DIN radio and I remember thinking at the time that it didn't seem to be in there as well as I would have liked. It made it four years, anyway.
