Replaced upper control arms and lower ball joints in front as well as bushes and ball joint on the rear UCA, just need Jeep to come to the party now and replace my rear LCA under recall.

Then fitted these on Friday 245/70/R16 General Grabber AT3's, my goodness I can't believe how bad my previous tyres were. Can't wait to go test them out properly

Think it's time to repaint those wheels

Almost crashed it into a gray Wrangler. I pulled up to a stop light today and looking across the road I saw another 2003 Black Renegade and had to wave at it/the driver when the light turned green. While accelerating, a gray wrangler decided to ignore the laws of the road, and turned left in front of me.

Changed these crusty, junk Champion plugs. Who knows when these were put in, but I’m glad they’re gone.

I thoroughly cleaned everything before re installing the plugs and packs. Hopefully this fixes my issue of it dying randomly.

Also, I highly recommend this socket to add to your set for plug changes

https://www.amazon.com/GearWrench-80546-8-Inch-6-Inch-Swivel/dp/B0014ZVSVK/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_pd_title

I wasn’t about to change all 16 plugs in my R/T without it and it worked great once again for the Jeep

Saw your other thread and came here to quote this and say Holy freaking hell dude!

Also, I love magnetic spark plug sockets, can't stand to use ones with a rubber grommet.. have broken far too many brand new porcelain on those..

My '04 loves those basic cheapo Champions. I have to change 'em more often than the higher end plugs...but the performance is worth it.

I hope you’re joking.. :happy175: the proper NGK plugs were $15 at NAPA

I ran Champion coppers the first set of plugs I changed on the KJ.. it ran fine, but they only lasted about a year and the idle got rough. Put the proper NGK's in, which I got for about $2 a piece, and it was night and day compared to the new Champions.

Champion plugs often have the wrong heat range for a given application as well, especially where NGK's were originally spec'd.

The Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle engines were really bad about that; the Champion plug that crossed to the factory NGK was too hot, and would often melt or detonate inside the cylinder.

Nope. Copper Plus RC10MCC. The previous owner used them since the Jeep
was new. What NGK's are you using?

NGK 6987. Makes it run much better. I had an issue before where if the Jeep was warm and I shut it off, then came back to start it up again it would sputter and not start unless I pressed the gas first. Now it fires up every time

Well, except for the set of plugs that the factory put in, right? :icon_razz:

Same.. it ran on the Champs, but not as smoothly or as without issues as it does on the NGK's. I'll have to check my maint. log, might be due for some new ones this summer.

I can not remember the last time I trickle charged the Odyssey, probably last fall?
At now 8 years old, this thing is exceptional & still starts the Jeep every time.
I am now a true believer that no catastrophic failures will occur & only looses power slowly over time is correct.

Am currently topping it up with the 4.3 amp C-Tek overnight.
I wonder if I will get 10+ years out of this battery, great value indeed.

Don't know. They just said they've been installing Champs since '06. Might expand my horizons on the next change and use the NGK's.

Would be much better
and don't listen to some parts store wannabes or for that matter some Techs. Some are only parts replacers and will install whatever not caring what it is

I measured the rear of my 07 it's sitting at 20.25'' with stock springs and two extra upper iso's. Then I installed the old Rusty's rear coils out of my wifes 02 into my 07 now it's at 21''.
