Ouch!

My husband was driving my little Tercel on Rt 50 the other day and another car flipped up a chunk of tractor-trailer tire. He had nowhere to go, but fortunately it just put two little marks on the bottom of the black bumper.

Pretty helpless feeling, watching something hit you when there's nothing you can do...

Try a 10 foot aluminum step ladder flipped up from a semi running over it. IT LOOKED HUGE be spit out from under there. Was in my 69 Bronco at the time with a oil well front bumper, it saved me pretty much

A Floridian friend calls those semi-tire chunks "gators"... (nope, it's a "croc")

Did a short 260 mile trip ,
went to the woods to find inner peace
came back refreshed and renewed

Too hot to install new parts that came in small brown box, ...can't wait

It took that far to get to the woods in Ohio?

No but my own hidden spot
on my own land
that no one else can be on
can sit watch deer. wild turkey.............
now of course I could of went to any park etc with 100s-1000s of other people but just not as relaxing
So drive 20 minutes to share, or 2 hours to my own spot?

I hear ya. It's about a three hr drive to my 46 acre ranch. From where I live now it takes almost that much time to find ANY appreciable tree cover. But I still LOVES me some desert!

Unfortunately I wrecked the Jeep... Was heading to school and just slightly pulled out right into the bed of a dodge truck...

Won't be sitting like that for long...Just got the crank seal driven in with my ghetto seal driver:

Galvanized fence post top and a giant washer courtesy of my local hardware store...

Very creative!

Can you tell me the diameter of the hole in the washer? My front seal has been weeping for quite a while now - just enough to irritate me. You've inspired me to get moving on the fix :waytogo:
