Replaced the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) after picking up the replacement at NAPA. Had some hesitation when the RPM's where between 1500 and 2000. There was a 'dead spot' in the TPS that caused the sputtering and messed up downshifts in the ******.

Took all of 5 minutes to replace :waytogo:

Drove about 4 hours to Kentucky
The KJ was driving perfectly.. next trip is down to South Carolina
Love driving next to slightly lifted or stock trucks that used to be taller than mine and now I'm taller :waytogo:
It's always a good feeling

Put my jba arms on, took like 2 hours of actually wrenching. Not bad. But that back drivers bolt is a PITA for sure. Also put a small clevis lift on to level it out again! Next up is saving for 790s and finding some 4.10 axles for the beast.

If it were me I'd have them change it while getting it aligned since you need to take the tie rod apart and get it aligned anyway.

That ***** how much am i hurting it like it is. Can i just load it with grease every few months?

I would for now at least clean it off real good and try to cover it somehow just to keep as much road dust/ grit etc out of there

I'd wipe it clean with a rag soaked with brake cleaner (don't spray directly on it to get in the holes), then plug the holes with silicone/RTV.

Passenger side door with a " mountain and some lettering " on it was on a load of parts someone was trying to sell at a salvage yard 235 miles southeast of here
Owner was later at the Sheriifs office going through stolen vehicle reports and remembered seeing it and told them which they reported back through and I heard about it today.
Didn't know if anything else was on there since he didn't buy any of it and didn't know who it was. Of course they had cameras but no front plate in WV and trailer blocked rear plate on truck when it was leaving, trailer didn't have any plates.
So..............:emotions34:

Had a dear old friend find me a front 4.10 diff , its going to be my birthday present :happy175::happy175:
Now for a rear 4.10 diff, and.............

Oil change found a torn boot. How hard is it to change this one.

Only took about 30 minutes on the wife's minivan. All depends upon how easy the tie rod end is to disconnect at the jam nut and at the knuckle.

Get replacement boot (May only come with zipties) undo jam nut and break free tie rod end at knuckle. I used a large pitman arm puller so no damage to the boot or threads. Unscrew tie rod end counting turns. Pull old boot, slide on new boot, zip or clamp boot ends. Reverse the above for install. If I can do it, you can certainly do it. :gr_grin:
