Considering I don't have a 100% flat surface to work on and no help... :emotions34:

My current garage is sloped somewhat ( stupid idea by the builder ) but I just put a piece of railroad track behind the tire a couple of inches so it doesn't go too far, PLUS in gear it can't really.
No help is a lot better than some who try to help :happy175:

I just lifted my jeep.. it came up 3.5" from where it was ( badly sagged i guess.) I then had wicked vibration. . Added a tri-link extension ( i built my own) and the vibration is not as bad.. i will try and shim it this weekend to see if it improves

What lift etc did you use?
Could be an issue as well
PLUS check rear u-joints, since they are running at a different angle they could possibly be worn out and causing it. Just due to feeling tight is not always an indication that they are OK
Hope you built it good and strong, they take a beating ....well if you do take offs like I do:happy175:

I went with ironman springs and Rancho shocks. . Measures 21.5" from hub to fender.
Im also suspecting u-joints too as they have about 70k miles on them, and now with the lift they are "working" more.. im going to check my driveline angles tomorrow morning. . My vibration is noticable between 45-55mph.. gone by 60mph.. and doesnt do it while coasting . Ill chime back in once I measure and correct the angles

My original u-joints were gone by 50,000 miles, they were rusted solid almost. Bad vibes at 35-50 on mine

Short answer would be yes , pretty much it:icon

i know you use washers to get the correct angle, ill also be putting on new y link itself since the original is still on there with 87000 miles and with the new lift and new angle its time. ill figure it all out

had the extension set up to see what washer set up i would need ( 21.5 lift ) and where the extension bolts to the diff it always seemed to come in at a pretty sharp angle. Didnt feel comfortable putting it on that way.

Had the bracket attached to the ball joint when mocking it up . Could this be the problem ?

also are all the washers meant to be used ? seems a little excessive especially on the bottom smaller part of the extension

Some get used in between the brackets some on the outside
Did you have a jack under the rear diff to get it at the right angle?

yes i have a jack a jack under the yoke. I think my problem was trying to line it up with it connected to the ball joint already. Maybe it will work better if i attach the ball joint after i bolt the ext to the diff

the pinion angle wasnt off much if any, im more looking for a correction in the upper control arm position

Drop the jack so the pad is about an inch under the pinion and have someone rock the jeep while you guide it in. Work the jack with your leg to Raise pinion as needed. I've done it too many times to count and that always works.

been having some driveline vibe issues .... since i still have original ujoints with 85000 miles on them they will be replaced first...much overdue anyways....if that doesnt help ill do some washer adjustments. Just when you think youve got it all figured out haha :emotions34:
