Luckily no salt this year on mine. I bet you got a lot of work ahead of washing/paint work to bring it up to your high standards. Hopefully no serious rust is forming on yours.

JAX WAX has a engine detailing kit, cleaner and coating , works good and lasts a long time. Ran inot a guy here where I moved ot that details cars and turned me on to it. Its made here as well. But i did that like 2 months ago and still looks good

Finally got my ''Jeep'' Tax Disc Holder and installed it, printed out and put in a ''Tax'' for it to make it look fully authentic once again.

Ordered parts

I ordered new hood lift supports today. I think I can handle this 5 minute install. arty52:

However I'll let the shop put on the 16x8 Moabs and 245/75/R16 BFG mud terrain T/A KM2's. In a few more weeks I'll have all the $$ saved for them. I believe I should have no issues fitting them. Pinch weld is pounded and fender trimmed already, and at 30K miles on it the 2" BDS lift seems to be holding up without any visible sagging.

265-70-16s sit on the MOABS real good, better than the 245-75s , same height just a little wider

No this is now a former UK ordeal, like how states usually have ''Tags'' to show that licensing fees have been paid up. The UK used a ''Road Tax'' which could be 6 months to a Year. Usually done with an inspection to make sure the vehicle is road worthy. Tax Discs were displayed in windshields so police could monitor if the Tax had expired or not. Now its all computerized so the Tax Disc is being done away gradually. My friend in the UK who got me the Disc since I had no idea it was phased out explained to me the whole situation. I had gotten one easily before years ago when I had my Focus and did the tradition of having a Tax Disc in my windshields as a ''Joke'' that very few would get. So I am keeping up the traditions, I'm considering going full Euro on the front with my plate but may do that after my next possible vacation that I may take in July back to Orlando. If I do I will keep the JP plate on since I'm still pushing my luck with it. At least with my Euro plate it has my Plate Number so it would keep me a bit off the radar as it did with my Focus.

Wow been a while since I have been here. Things have been crazy with work and going to school. Lets see what have I done lately to the Jeep. I pieced together the HD Cooling parts and when I went to install them saw that the replacement radiator I put in last year is leaking. So guess that is going to get replaced with a new one with the built in transcooler. That will also fix my leaky transmission lines.

Picking up a set of new to me General Grabber AT2's tomorrow and will see about getting them installed.

Factory fogs from my wife for my birthday will go in at that time too.

Added some LED lights under the dash as floor lighting. Work great hooked to the factory wiring that was there for the courtesy lights.

Built a folding shelf for the gate modeled after the ones they sell for Wranglers. Have the fire bottle, shovel, first aid kit and an old army butt pack to hold the tire plug kit and other stuff.

I think that's all for now. Projects in the future I am looking to get skid plates or make some, get rock sliders (Leann I will get there someday if you still have them), add a light bar, add spotters on the bumper, black out the hood, make seat covers, get a steering wheel cover, add LED floor lights to the back, install the heated seat kit sitting under my desk at work.

Currently (today) in process of changing fuel filter (dropping the tank) and installing the GM anti splashback door in my filler hose before I tighten her all back up. Photos of progress on the main forum page in fuel splashback thread and also fuel pump replacement thread.

The leather cleaner works pretty good as well, I've used it on my Step Dads but haven't done my rear leather yet, ( fronts still sitting in the garage) :thumbsdown:
Plus they are here in Gahanna

Found a Jax Wax dealer just a couple miles away. I think I'll give that engine stuff a try.

Is it really OK to spray down the engine like they show in the video? I'd be afraid of getting water in something I shouldn't.

I try not to spay the rear of electrical cooling fan, and I do cover up the Alternator.
And don't go too close...You dont need forced water in connections, farther back is good.
Power washed, then hwy run, No Codes ever set...
I would like to see some use of the Jax engine detailer with photos, when u guys get-r-done!

While waiting for help getting my fuel pump module ring back on tight I attacked another issue while the jeep was in the garage. When we bought it the passenger side bumper fog light housing was broken and held on by a zip tie. I had tried to replace it but the bolt was seized and broke. Soaked it with penetrating oil for weeks and tried to shake it loose with a vise grip - no dice. So I cut it off with a Dremel cutoff wheel and then punched and drilled it out. Then tapped it to M8x1.25 and mounted the new fog. Sweet!

Spent a bit of time trying to get the fluid level/fill plug out of the transfer case, chisel wouldn't turn it, finally a bit of heat and penetrating oil loosened it up, but now I need a new plug.
Next is the trans plug. I don't have the right size allen, and the double nutted bolt was a no-go, so it's off to the store this morning.
As long as I'm under there I'm going to drain it and re-fill with Pennzoil syncromesh, and Castrol ATF+4 in the TC.
Dang power steering hose didn't show up, so I ordered front wheel bearings, plenty to do next weekend!

only problems I've ever had with washing the engine bay is #6 plug likes to flake out and "short" when it gets wet back there. I now make sure to pull the boot off that one and blow it clear of water.

Changed the oil yesterday and took to get new tires. Had brand new Cooper Discoverer RTX's put on it, 245/75/16.

Today I ordered the radiator since the one I put in last year is leaking in the same place the original did. Hope it comes in before the weekend to I can install it when I have the grill off doing the fog lights.
