Replacement Lug nuts

What's everyone doing for replacement lug nuts?

The stainless caps have come off about 3-4 of mine. Damn you, McLean Fasteners! (I used to work for them).

Anyway, seems like the solid stainless are the way to go, but I am not dropping $100 on lug nuts. If I can't find a reasonably priced alternative, I'll just pick up some spare OE's and replace as needed.

FWIW - They are like $52 shipped. Looks like Amazon has them in 4 packs, but 6 4 packs comes out to $40.26 and free shipping. That's for the chrome anyway, which is what I think I would want.

I have the McGard chrome lug nuts - have had them for about 18 months and not a mark on them. As often as I pull the wheels off my Libby you'd think they'd be scarred by now - Nope :icon_lol: I've used them with both the factory Renegade wheels and the Moabs I have on now.

Bought them from Summit Racing and paired them with a set of locking lugs.

Nice - I am a little leery of the chrome ones rusting, but if you're in northern OH and had no problems, I should be OK too.

Have 5 quadzillion stock take offs
every time I rotate my tires I just throw the old ones away and install new ones


No really have only had to replace one of mine in all this time.

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I'm missing five of the chrome stock lug nuts. They were missing when I bought my liberty. I bought four new ones, but they're larger on the outside then the stock ones and the stock lug wrench wont fit. I'm still looking for chrome acorn style lug nuts that work with the stock lug wrench. I haven't gone to the dealership to see what they have, but I night on my next day off to see if they have any and the price.

Check ****zone they usually have em behind counter. They aren't cheap though - about $1.75 each if I remember correctly.

My KK has 2 piece acorn lugs. I had a couple separate. I replaced all with $1 lugs1/2 inch fine. Bulk box at auto parts store.The curved section is different than stock. My uncle (died 2-7-2014) saw them and said I'm sending you stock ones. Get those off. So I'm back to 2 piece that I'm making sure aren't being over torqued. I have aluminum rims and a set of steel Nitro rims. Stock just fits both better. So I'd take one in and try to get as close as possible, for the curve, size.

I use the McGard 64010 have been on for years now.
I replaced the stock 2 piece long ago as they were breaking apart/ crap.
The conical fit & finish of the McGard are superior. They keep their torque values too.

The most importing thing about lugs is keeping them torqued right!

My torque wrench stays in the Jeep, & get used frequently.
