So how about planning an East meets West trip...

Jen and I plan on doing a very big loop.
From Richmond, B.C. (Just outside of Vancouver, B.C.) head South-East through Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, then South Dakota.
One the way back home we want to drop down to Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, Washington. Or Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington.
We plan on a minimum of three and a half to four and a half half weeks of road trip.

DAMN this would be awsome to do if I could get that much time off!!! Did you pick where we could do like a group camp?? I think I saw that on here?

Camp there, Jen and I will definitely will be exploring the National Park
for a few days.
I haven't been doing to much research on this trip in the last few days.
I've been flat on my back unable to move.

Jen and I have been looking at maps and areas of interest for next year.
We are open to suggestions as to areas of interest and places to stop along the way.

On a side note, not one other Canadian Jeep Liberty owner has expressed any interest in joining in on this adventure.

Just a heads-up on scheduling.

Try to plan your visit to NOT fall near Sturgis rally week.(usually the first week in August) Prices for everything will be sky-high, the campgrounds will be packed to the brim, not to mention the roads jammed with bikers.

Hey folks,

Jen and I want to do this trip next June or July of 2013.
Her work schedule is very flexible so she can get whatever time off she wants.
Jen's taking tree weeks off for our holiday.

We want to work with the folks here to try and make sure that we can get as many people
as possible to join in.
We figure this trip is far enough in advance that people have ample time to plan time off so
they can join in if they are interested.

We are flexible so if folks have children we can try an plan around that as well.

Let us know soon if you can.
We also are going to pick a "Cut off" date so I can start getting an idea as to how many people will attend.
That way I can see about getting group rates at campgrounds and or Hotels.

If anybody has any input or ideas that they would like to share with us, that would be
greatly appreciated.

I've just always wanted to check the area out and wanted to wheel there.
Heck, 45 minutes won't kill us, we're coming from over 2000 miles away, so whats another 100 miles or so!

If it is Appleton you are thinking of its alright but probably not a place we would want this large of a trip. Not a ton of trails for people to keep busy. Gilbert would be better suited for that but probably more inconvenient. Just my $.2
