Dash lights flashing?

I have an 02 Liberty. On my wy home from work last night, the right turn signal indicator came on and stayed lit. I thought I must have blown a bulb or something but then the dash lights went out. They stayed out untill I went to use the right turn signal and they flash with the turn signal. When the turn signal switches off, s do the dash lights. All bulbs are OK. Flsher seems to be functioning correctly. I'm thinking the turn signal multi function switch shorted somehow. Any thoughts or has anyone ever had this happen and found the solution? Thanx

Sounds like the multi function switch to me. Mine has a few gremlins, too. I just haven't gotten around to replacing it.

Yes does sound like the multi-function switch...easy to replace.

There are two types of switches available depending on whether you have the front fog/driving lights installed or not.

Its the multi-function switch and a pice of cake to replace

Yep, very easy to replace. It isn't even bolted on, just rests on the steering column.

Thanx guys..that was my first thought...just wanted some conformation.
I did check my front right turn signal and found that the socket was full of water. I unpluged the socket from the harnes and shook it out then dryed it with a hair dryer but I would like to replace it. Does anyone know where to get one besides a dealer? My local parts stores don't seem to stock them. Diddn't think they would be that hard to get.

I think I have a left and right used in the back of my 03 ill check when the youngest gets home with it and would let them go cheap.

Yep left and right with complete wire harness and all four light plugs for an 03 sport its use so Im thinking $30 + shipping. Have to check UPS Mi To Ohio if you want it.

Does it have the sockets for the park/turn that plug/unplug from the harness?
I realy just need the sockets. I understand if you dont want to split it up. I still may be interested. Dont know if the 03 is the same as the 02 but should be. I have someone else checking too on just the sockets, I will let you know ASAP...Thank you for looking

Yep all four plugs come on one complete wire harness two per side turn and running all four plugs make up one complete wire harness that plugs into the main wire harness. It has the left and right lens. It would be the the complete harness and I would include both lens. If not I'll list it on the for sale site I dont really want to cut up the harness to take off one light socket If you look its all one peace. But I understand if you just want to splice in a light socket if you can find one.

Actually, my light sockets "plug" into the harness. You can detach the socket from the harness without cutting anything. Thats the problem, I can"t find the plug in sockets.

Yep your right I was wrong got it out at night with no glasses on. looked at it in the daylight with glasses on. Harness is one peace 4 lighr sockets 2running 2 blinkers and a left and right lens. The more I though about it last night I knew I couldn't be right.

I appreciate the trouble you went thru to check it out. Still waiting on my other source. If I cant find one, I guess I'll have to splice in an after market socket of some sort although I dont really want to do that. I hate spliceing any harness.
