Hi All,
Anybody ever fitted a new cam belt on a 2.4 Petrol 4 ******? Anything else required partswise while I have got it in bits when I get it pulled apart to change it or do I just need the belt? Hoping to change it in a few weeks when the weather gets a bit warmer, and would just like a heads up for anything I need to look out for. What about the tensioner etc? Are they relatively easy to do? I was a factory trained mechanic a few years ago and have got the workshop manual so not anticipating too many problems, but you never know!!!! Thanks Guys. Steve (Cheers)

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
It's pretty straight forward,as is the engine so doing the timing belt is no problem unlike the same 2.4 in the PT Losers. While you got everything apart just replace the tensioner, idler pulleys, and water pump while you have it all apart already.A dual cam sprocket holder will be very handy keeping the cam gears in place.
