Hey, I need to replace my CVs, wrecked the inner passenger side when it fell off of the intermediate shaft. I can get the factory stuff or I can source some Cardone brand bits. Has anyone ever used anything other than the factory shafts when replacing the CVs? I've read on the web that the Cardone parts aren't the greatest. The one's I can get are the new ones, PN 663352 and 663351. You can see them at Rock-auto, I get them from Bumper to Bumper (local guys). I cannot get the remanned shafts, there aren't any available.

Can one of you share any good/bad experiences with the Cardone gear or am I destined to spend my money on Mopar parts?

I'm going to be replacing my intermediate shaft this weekend, $267.00 CDN for the shaft and an axle seal and two cir-clips.

Napa is cool but there isn't a good one here and I won't pay customs/brokerage and shipping from the USA for stuff I can get here. Is their stuff that much better quality? There can't be that many companys casting bits like this.

Aha, I just clicked on the warranty.pdf link in the Napa search result and guess what? The Napa shafts are made by Cardone. Lifetime warranty against failure. Cool. Thanks Belvedere. I had a GTX in highschool. 383 4 spd. Lots of tire smokin' fun.

I'll bet it was!

BTW, I've not had to replace a shaft on our Libby, so I can't make a recommendation. I was just giving a link as to what NAPA has available. Since I work at a NAPA part-time, I'm a little biased. :)

I'd love to get remanned ones Tom but unfortunately they are not available to me here in the middle of nowhere northern Alberta.
