I only have 2 months left of powertrain warranty.
No leaks, no driven noises, but a bit of steering twitch still felt over larger bumps.
It all feels tight, not that much movement in Cv's...??
But I can still make it sound like rocks in a coffee can!

mine is about the same right now. I have an annoying rumble/vibration that comes and goes. I have an intermediate shaft sitting on my workbench waiting to be paired up with a napa remanned cv. I don't think mine wiggles that much though, but I haven't checked it for a couple months.

I did not want to take away from this thread so I posted a new thread about my CV's over on general forums. You can see video of some rocks in a coffee can rattle!

Any reply's re my situation add in my thread to keep it separate...
Are the stock parts that cheap? 38,000 miles on my rig, only 1000 miles since lifted.

I got the parts for mine at rockauto.com $120 for the shaft and $50 for the CV axle.

Yeah... The part where you pushed on it with your palm in the top vid... that looks about the same as what mine was doing.

I don't know about the steering twitch though. I don't think that this will do anything other than cause a wobble at speed and sound like crap.

Besides, I just replaced all 4 control arms(with all new bushings) and I still have a little bit of a twitch when I drive over some larger bumps. I am replacing my rack bushings next and will keep you posted on the result.

Hey Tim,
The drivers side inner CV joint on our Rig has very
minimal play.
Our passengers side inner CV on the other hand
has about the same amount of play as your drivers
Side.
However, we also just rolled over to 230,000.0 Km
on our Heep; and those are still the factory installed CV
Joints!

Well I look forward to hear from those about to replace the CV/Intermediate shaft, to see if it should be much tighter after replacing!!
This seems awfully loose!

I do not think that is possible as the super clean, new look, and original stickers tags still everywhere.
Previous owner had all the service done at the same dealer.
I have a copy of all the records from new with all the tracking mileage.
The KJ was also completely inspected by BCAA before I purchased it. Accident Free.
I simply believe that it is rather obvious some of the KJ stock parts, wear quickly, and many parts are weaker than aftermarket.
This is why folks trade in the vehicles after 4 years and run to another new vehicle!
So the question still remains:
For those that have replaced the CV/Intermediate, is all tight again, or still some sloppiness remains in new replacements?

Jeep's are built, Mine is now a whole lot better than stock & "Feeling Stronger Every Day"
