I am replacing teh stock Chrysler radio in my 2998 Liberty with a jensen 9’ floating screen. However I do NOPT want to cut the harness. Anyone know where I can get a harness that plugs into the OEM then into the jensen? I tried Crutchfield, however they said I need to buy the radio from them. I have a home made adaptor with it, however it is constant power on, so I must shut off manually when I leave. However i usually always do that BUT……I may miss too!

On the Crutchfield website, can't you input your Jeep, find a Jensen radio, and then see what the required parts for installation are? The Scosche or Metra wiring harnesses they recommend are usually available from Amazon if Crutchfield wants to be a dick about the whole thing. You might also be able to ascertain which harness you need with a simple search on Amazon.

Good luck.

What I see that I may need is to buy a Jensen side and I have an extra jeep side and match up wires and splice. They don’t make it easy. However great sounding radio. Not too fond of the screen but can be seen easily. Pics to follow.

My aftermarket radio came with a plug that fit the radio and had a bunch (10-13) wires coming out of it. Did you not get that harness with your Jensen?

After that, I had to buy a harness from Scosche that fit the Jeep and solder them together.

I had this as an open package from Best Buy and no harness. I saw the interface from CRUX, SOOCR-26. However I called Jensen and am awaiting a call back. Gone are the days of antenna, power and ground!

Be prepared for needing to adapt your antenna, also. Just a couple of bucks, but still. Nothings simple anymore.

Sounds like you’ve got this.

I swapped antennas from my parts jeep liberty before it went to the junk yard. So I have the Sirius antenna in the same base.
